Austria, Venice, Rome, Florence, Monaco...

AUSTRIA
short stay here, we had been rafting in a freezing cold river that we had to jump in to, O MY Goodness I have never been in such cold water but it was totally worth it rafting is so much fun!!!

VENICE
loved this place definitely want to come back to visit, although I got kissed by an Italian and he was not a good looking one, he was old. I thought he was going for the graceful peck on the check, boy was I wrong straight on the lips.....some of the other girls also got tricked...never trust an Italian, over all though they are lovely people.

Craig and I with our new found friends Dave and Michelle, an awesome couple we met from Melbourne

more Contiki Crew

had a little to much here...and broke my rose
ROME
What a place.... the history and sites to see are like no other, our convict ruins are so brand new....Rome was quiet a dirty place but like I said the sites were amazing and lets not forget the food YUMMO
The Colosseum

hhhmmmm just a little excited here to have a drink on the street.....maybe not something to be proud of but we all were a but chuffed with the freedom in Europe

The Vatican wow what a church and the art work (here is that word again) 'AMAZING', one part of the Vatican which is probably the only part I took in, there is a room that no photo's are to be taken and you must be quiet (maybe this is why I remember this part....). Michelangelo painted the entire ceiling and walls of the life of Jesus Christ, it took him 4 years and apparently when he completed the art work he could only read or view something by looking up.... Also Craig and I had some embarrassing moments by being the matching couple you will see why below, this was noted within the Contiki Crew.....EMBARRASSING
The Conitki Crew on a messy night in Rome, what fun we had

FLORENCE
My husband spoilt me rotten here and purchased me a gorgeous leather jacket that I didn't want or even ask for....but the the Contiki crew said it looked great as did the hubby, very stoked with this purchase.

Leonardo

Michelangelo - apparently Michelangelo was quiet the shit and not very liked...

The Leaning Tower of Pisa
Monaco
this place is insane and I thought Sovereign Island was sickening with wealth, this place is like no other. Very beautiful and lots and lots of rich people Craig and I were on the look out for a sugar daddy or sugar mama which ever came along first.....hehe. We had a lovely evening out in Monaco and a short visit to the Monte Carlo, the car park was like a car show AMAZING!!!!!

London, Amsterdam, Germany and the beautiful Switzerland

LONDON
Loved it here wish we had more time here so much to see. We went through Buckingham Palace which was awesome the detail and art work in this place is amazing definitely worth a look. We had scons and tea in the cafe at the back of the palace, Craig said they were not as good as his nan's though (I don't think anyone will beat Maggies scons as he says it quiet frequently). Went on the London Eye bit boring but one of those things you must do and also went through the London Dungeon which was cool. Checked out Harrods WOW shame we weren't trillionaires married wrongly...kidding babe xx

Buckingham Palace

beep, beep, beep.......NEW YORK

This is one crazy place I think Craig and I were a bit gob smacked for 2 days. There are approximately 14,000 taxi`s in New York, they are driving all over the place and constantly honking their horns. We fell in love with New York this is an amazing city and definitely a MUST SEE!!! We stayed in a great location right amongst it all (thanks Sharon) we were close to Time Square, 5th Avenue, Broadway, Central Park which unfortunately we did not get a chance to go through due to our bus tour from hell to Washington DC "NEVER AGAIN"!!!! It was a scorching 43 degree day with 90% humidity and our last full day in New York, air-con on the bus was broken which they tried to fix while we had a 2hr stop at some Nasa Museum (as you can sense I was real enthused about the Museum....not), we were supposed to depart at 5pm which then became 8-8.30pm, several stops along the way and finally we arrived back in New York at 2.30am "NOT HAPPY JAN". Apart from that we had a great time so much to see we only saw a tiny bit. Did a bit of shopping in Soho (Bloomingdales), walked through Wall Street, boat ride around Statue of Liberty, visited the site of ground zero (very sad), strolled down 5th Avenue (my favourite store of course was Tiffany & Co, we didn`t purchase anything :-( however we still have Paris to go.....), went up the Empire State building and also looked through Macy`s. Food was fantastic we dined at the Rokerfella Centre Craig said it was the BEST steak and peppered sauce EVER even I thought it tasted pretty good. We got to be in the audience of the David Letterman Show the guest stars were Steve Carell, Selma Gomez and Sheryl Crowe it was great!!!!

We have heaps more pics of New York but we brought the wrong cord for the little camera so I have posted some pics from the big camera. I have also included some pics of Switzerland but I have missed London, Amsterdam and Germany will post when I get to the next internet cafe. The keyboard I am using at the moment is foreign so excuse if there are some errors or weird symbols. The Contiki is SO MUCH FUN (Aussies Galore we are everywhere) although we have been having a few too many drinkies at night. Met some awesome people and again saw more amazing places. Switzerland is probably my favourite so far but I think I have said that about all the places we have visited apart from LA.

view of Time Square from our hotel room

Craig on the Luge

and I just posted these cos I found them on the camera and they just so cute (from memory these photo^s were taken at Christmas time, we baked some cookies in the arvo and then later we drove around looking at the Christmas lights)
