beep, beep, beep.......NEW YORK

This is one crazy place I think Craig and I were a bit gob smacked for 2 days. There are approximately 14,000 taxi`s in New York, they are driving all over the place and constantly honking their horns. We fell in love with New York this is an amazing city and definitely a MUST SEE!!! We stayed in a great location right amongst it all (thanks Sharon) we were close to Time Square, 5th Avenue, Broadway, Central Park which unfortunately we did not get a chance to go through due to our bus tour from hell to Washington DC "NEVER AGAIN"!!!! It was a scorching 43 degree day with 90% humidity and our last full day in New York, air-con on the bus was broken which they tried to fix while we had a 2hr stop at some Nasa Museum (as you can sense I was real enthused about the Museum....not), we were supposed to depart at 5pm which then became 8-8.30pm, several stops along the way and finally we arrived back in New York at 2.30am "NOT HAPPY JAN". Apart from that we had a great time so much to see we only saw a tiny bit. Did a bit of shopping in Soho (Bloomingdales), walked through Wall Street, boat ride around Statue of Liberty, visited the site of ground zero (very sad), strolled down 5th Avenue (my favourite store of course was Tiffany & Co, we didn`t purchase anything :-( however we still have Paris to go.....), went up the Empire State building and also looked through Macy`s. Food was fantastic we dined at the Rokerfella Centre Craig said it was the BEST steak and peppered sauce EVER even I thought it tasted pretty good. We got to be in the audience of the David Letterman Show the guest stars were Steve Carell, Selma Gomez and Sheryl Crowe it was great!!!!

We have heaps more pics of New York but we brought the wrong cord for the little camera so I have posted some pics from the big camera. I have also included some pics of Switzerland but I have missed London, Amsterdam and Germany will post when I get to the next internet cafe. The keyboard I am using at the moment is foreign so excuse if there are some errors or weird symbols. The Contiki is SO MUCH FUN (Aussies Galore we are everywhere) although we have been having a few too many drinkies at night. Met some awesome people and again saw more amazing places. Switzerland is probably my favourite so far but I think I have said that about all the places we have visited apart from LA.

Washington DC, this is where Forest Gump ran though the water calling out to Jenn-ay
